Terms and Conditions
The terms on which SOT supplies hardware, software and engineering services, and on which this website may be used.
1. About these terms
These terms govern the use of this website and the supply of products and services by Smart of Things (SOT), a company registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its head office in Riyadh. Using this website, requesting a quotation or placing an order means you accept them.
Where SOT and a customer have signed a separate supply agreement, purchase order or framework contract, that document prevails over these terms to the extent the two disagree.
These terms were last updated on 6 September 2026.
2. What SOT supplies
SOT is an authorised distributor and reseller for the manufacturers named on this website. Our undertaking is the supply of genuine, manufacturer-warranted equipment and software, together with pre-sales engineering — specification, bill-of-quantities design and compatibility review — and the administration of manufacturer warranties after delivery.
The price of a product does not include installation, cabling, configuration or commissioning unless those are stated as separate lines on a written quotation issued by SOT. Where such services are quoted, their scope is what that quotation says it is.
Product photographs, specifications and datasheets published here are supplied by the manufacturer. Manufacturers revise specifications without notice, and the datasheet current at the time of delivery governs.
3. Quotations, prices and payment
Prices shown on the online store apply to purchases made through it. Project and volume pricing is issued as a written quotation by our sales engineering team and is valid for the period stated on that quotation.
All prices are in Saudi Riyals and exclude value-added tax unless stated otherwise. VAT is applied at the rate required by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at the time of invoicing.
A quotation is an invitation to order, not a reservation of stock. Stock is allocated when an order is confirmed and paid for, or against the terms of a signed agreement.
4. Orders, stock and delivery
An order is accepted when SOT confirms it. We may decline or cancel an order that is incomplete, that we cannot verify, or where the price or availability shown was materially incorrect; where an order is cancelled after payment, the amount paid is refunded in full.
Delivery dates given before an order is confirmed are estimates based on stock held in Riyadh and on the manufacturer's own lead times. Where part of an order is available immediately and part is not, we will say so rather than hold the whole shipment, unless you ask us to.
Risk in the goods passes on delivery. Title passes when the goods are paid for in full.
5. Warranty
Every product is covered by the warranty of its manufacturer, for the period and on the terms that manufacturer publishes. SOT administers those warranties on your behalf: we raise the claim, handle the return to the manufacturer and track the replacement.
A manufacturer's warranty does not cover damage from misuse, neglect, power events, unauthorised modification or repair, use outside the product's stated environmental limits, or installation carried out contrary to the manufacturer's instructions.
Consumables and parts with a defined service life — batteries, fans, filters — are covered only for the period the manufacturer states for them.
6. Faulty goods, returns and replacement
Tell us within a reasonable time of delivery if goods arrive damaged, incomplete or dead on arrival, and keep the packaging: a claim of transit damage is settled with the carrier and the packaging is the evidence.
For business customers, returns and replacements are handled under the return-material authorisation process in the applicable agreement or, where there is none, under the manufacturer's process for that product.
Consumers buying through the online store have the cancellation and return rights given by the consumer-protection regulations in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To be returned under those rights a product must be unused and in its original, unopened manufacturer packaging. Software licences, activated subscriptions and products made or configured to order are excluded, as those regulations allow.
7. Using this website and your account
Information you give us when registering or ordering must be accurate and kept up to date, and you are responsible for what is done through your account.
This website may not be used to gather prices or content systematically, to interfere with its operation, or for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual property
The text, layout, photography and other material published on this website belong to SOT and may not be copied or republished without written permission.
Manufacturer names, logos and product marks belong to their owners and appear here to identify the products SOT is authorised to supply. Their appearance does not transfer any right in them.
9. Liability
SOT is liable for supplying goods that conform to their specification and for the services it has agreed in writing to perform. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of data, or indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of a product, and our total liability in respect of an order does not exceed the amount paid for it.
Nothing in these terms limits any right that cannot be limited under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
10. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you place an order is the version that applies to it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the competent courts of the Kingdom have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Questions about these terms, an order or a warranty claim can be sent through the contact page or to the address published on it.
