Interactive Boards
Classroom touch displays sized from the back row, robust enough for daily use, and quick enough to start that teachers actually use them.
The deciding factor for classroom display technology is not its feature list but the first thirty seconds of a lesson. A teacher with a class waiting will use a board that is on and ready and will abandon one that needs a projector to warm up, an input selected and a laptop connected. Adoption follows convenience almost exactly.
Sizing is the second issue and it is frequently got wrong. A display has to be legible from the back row, and a panel chosen because it matched the wall width is often too small for the room's depth — which quietly excludes the pupils furthest away from anything involving text.
Durability is the third. A classroom panel is touched by thirty people a day for years, so the surface, the bezel and the mount all have to be specified for that. Consumer-grade equipment in a classroom is a false economy measured in months.
What this covers
Size from viewing distance
Panel size derived from the depth of the room, so shared text is legible from the back row rather than only the front.
Instant-on operation
Displays that are ready immediately, with lesson content reachable without input selection or device pairing.
Durable specification
Toughened surfaces, protected bezels and secure mounts rated for daily classroom handling.
Teacher device integration
Wireless sharing from a laptop or tablet so the teacher is not tethered to the board.
Central management
Firmware, settings and monitoring across the estate, so a fault is known centrally rather than reported by a teacher.
What we will ask you
These are the questions that decide the specification. Having the answers ready is what turns a first conversation into a real quotation.
- 01
How deep is the classroom?
Room depth, not wall width, sets the panel size. Getting this wrong excludes the back of the class.
- 02
How long does a lesson take to start?
If it is more than a few seconds, adoption suffers regardless of capability.
- 03
Who fixes it when it breaks?
Classroom technology with no clear support route is technology that stays broken for a term.
