Narrow-bezel LCD arrays and LED walls with the processing behind them, mounted so a failed tile can be reached without dismantling the wall.
A video wall is a structural and thermal installation as much as a display one. The array's weight is carried by a mounting structure that has to be both flat within tight tolerance and serviceable, because a tile that fails in the middle of a nine-panel array has to come out without the eight around it being removed. Mounts that allow individual tiles to be pulled forward are the difference between an hour's work and a day's.
The choice between narrow-bezel LCD and LED is usually decided by viewing distance and by whether seams are acceptable. LCD arrays are cheaper and sharper close up but always show a grid; fine-pitch LED has no seams at all but its pixel pitch sets a minimum viewing distance below which the image visibly breaks into dots.
Processing is the part that gets underestimated. Driving a wall as one canvas, or as several independent windows, or as a mix, requires a controller specified for the source count and layout — and retrofitting a more capable one later is often a bigger job than the panels were.

How close will people stand?
Pixel pitch sets a minimum sensible viewing distance for LED. Too fine is wasted money; too coarse is visibly dotty.

If the mounting does not allow it, every failure becomes a partial rebuild of the wall.
