Touch displays for classrooms and meeting rooms, sized from the furthest seat and commissioned so a session starts with one action.
An interactive display replaces a whiteboard, a projector and a laptop connection with one device, and it is judged almost entirely on how quickly somebody can start using it. A panel that requires selecting an input, waking a PC and pairing a device will be used as an expensive screen and nothing more.
Sizing is the other half. The rule that matters is the distance to the furthest viewer: text on a shared spreadsheet or a worksheet has to be legible from the back row, and a panel chosen because it suited the wall usually is not. In a classroom this is not a comfort question — it decides whether the back of the room can participate.
Touch technology and surface finish matter more in bright rooms. Infrared and capacitive touch behave differently under strong sunlight, and a glossy surface in a room with windows opposite will reflect them back at the audience.

How far is the back row?
This sets the minimum panel size. It is the measurement most often skipped and the one that decides whether the screen works.

Where are the windows?
Direct light on a glossy panel makes it a mirror, and strong sunlight interferes with some touch technologies. Orientation matters.
