وحدات توزيع الطاقة

Metered and switched rack PDUs with dual feeds, phase balance checked, and per-circuit measurement so capacity is known rather than estimated.

Distribution is where a well-designed power system is most often undone. A rack fed from a single PDU gives every dual-supply server in it a single point of failure, and equipment plugged across two PDUs that both trace back to the same upstream breaker has the appearance of redundancy without any of the substance.

Measurement is the other half. Without metering at circuit or outlet level, a facility's remaining capacity is a guess, and the usual result is either stranded capacity nobody dares use or a breaker discovered at its limit by tripping. Metered PDUs turn that into a number.

Switched units add remote control of individual outlets, which matters more than it sounds: it is the difference between power-cycling a hung device from a desk and sending somebody to a room at three in the morning to pull a plug.

ما يشمله هذا المجال

  • Metered and switched PDUs

Per-outlet measurement and remote switching, so consumption is visible and a hung device can be power-cycled without a site visit.

  • Dual-path distribution

A and B feeds from genuinely separate upstream sources, so dual-supply equipment is actually protected rather than nominally so.

  • Phase balancing

Load spread across phases and verified after installation, which is where three-phase distribution most often drifts out of balance.

  • Capacity headroom

Circuits sized with declared spare capacity, and the spare stated as a number so it can be used with confidence.

  • Connector standardisation

One connector convention across the facility, so a deployment does not depend on somebody finding the right lead.

ما سنسألك عنه

هذه هي الأسئلة التي تحدّد المواصفات. جهوزية الإجابات هي ما يحوّل المحادثة الأولى إلى عرض سعر فعلي.

  1. 01

Do the two feeds really diverge?

Trace both back upstream. Dual PDUs sharing one breaker is the most common false redundancy in a comms room.

  2. 02

    Is anything measuring per circuit?

Without metering, remaining capacity is unknowable and is usually discovered by tripping something.

  3. 03

How much spare capacity is intended?

Fully loaded circuits on day one mean the next server needs a new circuit. Decide the headroom deliberately.
