الأمن المادي والمراقبة

بوابات وحواجز المركبات

Boom barriers, sliding gates, bollards and road blockers, driven by the same credential or plate-recognition system that controls the doors inside.

Vehicle access is where a security system meets mechanical engineering and traffic flow. A barrier correctly specified for security and wrongly specified for duty cycle will fail within months: a boom rated for a few hundred cycles a day, installed on a staff car park doing several thousand, is a maintenance contract rather than a solution.

The second failure is queueing. Read range, barrier opening time and the distance between the reader and the road together decide how many vehicles clear per minute — and a gate taking six seconds a vehicle at a site with a four-hundred-car morning peak will put a queue out onto the public road.

SOT specifies the barrier, its detection, its safety devices and its control as one package, and integrates it with the access-control platform so the vehicle list and the personnel list are managed in one place rather than two.

ما يشمله هذا المجال

  • Barriers and gates

Boom barriers, sliding and swing gates, sized by width, duty cycle and opening speed against the site's real peak flow rather than its daily average.

  • Hostile vehicle mitigation

Fixed and retractable bollards and road blockers, for where the requirement is to stop a vehicle rather than to control one.

  • Detection and safety

Inductive loops, photocells and safety edges so a barrier cannot close onto a vehicle or a person. This is the part most often value-engineered out, and the part most often regretted.

  • Long-range and plate-based entry

UHF tag readers and ANPR, so a registered vehicle is admitted without the driver reaching out of the window.

  • Intercom and remote release

Call points at the lane with video, so an unexpected visitor is dealt with from inside rather than by somebody walking out to the gate.

ما سنسألك عنه

هذه هي الأسئلة التي تحدّد المواصفات. جهوزية الإجابات هي ما يحوّل المحادثة الأولى إلى عرض سعر فعلي.

  1. 01

What is the actual peak flow?

Vehicles per minute during the busiest fifteen minutes of the day, not the daily average. This decides lane count, read range and barrier speed.

  2. 02

Is the requirement control, or protection?

A boom barrier controls access. It does not stop a vehicle. If the threat is a vehicle driven deliberately at the building, that is a rated blocker and a different order of budget.

  3. 03

How does it behave in a power cut?

Manual release, battery backup or fail-open — and specifically whether emergency vehicles can get in while the system is dead.
